We live at the foot of these mountains.
Adi Kailash Explore is the tour operator for the Adi Kailash route: Adi Kailash, Om Parvat, the Darma and Johar valleys. Run from Pithoragarh by people of these valleys, honest to the metre about what the mountain asks.

Most people who write to us have wanted to see Kailash for years.
Then they learn what Mount Kailash asks, a visa, a permit, a lottery, another country's consent, and the wanting stays a wanting. Adi Kailash asks less. It stands inside India, in our own district, at the end of a road we have driven for more than ten seasons. That is why this company exists: to close the distance between wanting to be there and being there.
So we do one route, and we do all of it. The permit filed before you arrive. A driver who has taken the gorge in every condition it offers. A certified guide. A room that matches its photograph. A price that is the price. On this road, certainty is the luxury; everything else is scenery.
The mountain sets the terms, weather, altitude and the road, and we do not sell past them. Days it will not let us run, we do not charge for. And it is everyone's mountain: the religious, the spiritual, the adventurous, from anywhere. You are welcome, and you will be looked after the same.
We live at the foot of these mountains. Let us show them to you properly.

The Kailash you can reach.
Mount Kailash needs a visa, a permit, a lottery and another country’s consent. Adi Kailash stands inside India, at the end of a road from Pithoragarh.

- The road

The company exists to make that reach real. The name is the place and the verb is Explore: not yatra, not tours, not holidays. The mountain is the brand, and exploring is what we do with it, for whoever comes and for whatever reason they come.
Adi KailashExplore- One route
- Adi Kailash, Om Parvat, Darma and Johar. One road, every metre of it driven.
- Certainty
- Permit, driver, guide, room and price, settled before you arrive, not on the day.
- Everyone
- Any faith, any passport, any reason. The welcome is explicit.
Six rules we do not break.
Not values on a wall. Each one is enforced somewhere on this site, and each has cost us a feature we would otherwise have shipped.
- 01A label is a claim.
- We name only what is true: the photograph is of the place it names, the altitude is measured, the refund line is a contract.
- 02Show what is real.
- Placeholders look like placeholders. A visible gap gets filled; a plausible lie ships. So we don't.
- 03Measure, then say.
- Distances are driven and altitudes are surveyed before they are written down. If we have not measured it, we do not print it.
- 04The mountain sets the terms.
- Altitude, weather, permits and the road decide what is possible. We say what the mountain asks and we do not sell past it.
- 05Everyone's mountain.
- The religious, the spiritual and the adventurous, from anywhere. No exclusion in the copy, no assumption about why a person has come.
- 06Fast by default.
- Pages in milliseconds, answers in minutes, decisions made easy. Speed is respect for the traveller's time.
Run by the valley.
People from Pithoragarh and Dharchula, on this road every week of the season. Local knowledge is the product; everything else is how we deliver it.

“Every trip is personal. We keep the groups small so the mountain still feels like yours.”

The guides answer in Hindi, English and Kumaoni. The drivers have taken the Gunji road in every condition it offers. The office files the Inner Line Permit at SDM Dharchula before a guest arrives, not on the day. Nobody you deal with is a call centre; a message reaches the same people who will meet you at the railhead.
The faces of the valley, the Rung families who host, the guides, the drivers, appear on this site only with written consent, named the way they want to be named, never as scenery.

One route.
Every metre of it.
Adi Kailash, Om Parvat, the Darma and Johar valleys, run from the valley they stand in by the people who live there.
