Adi Kailash Yatra Cost from Delhi: 6 Days, One Price

Adi Kailash from Delhi costs ₹30,300 a person over 6 days. From Haldwani it's ₹26,300 over 5 days, and from Pithoragarh ₹18,600 over 4 days. Every one of those figures already holds your transport, your stays, breakfast and dinner, a certified guide and the permit work. Lunch and personal expenses stay yours.

TL;DRThe post in 5 lines

  • Your price a person turns on three things: the rooms you pick, a shared seat or your own vehicle, and party size. Six travelling together takes up to 25% off.
  • One figure covers the road, the rooms, breakfast and dinner, the guide and the permit work. Lunch and personal spending stay yours: the full list.
  • Adi Kailash Explore files the Inner Line Permit ahead of arrival, and no private taxi clears Dharchula without one in hand: the permit, step by step.
  • Nobody treks this circuit: the vehicle does the climbing, the walking is short at the darshan points, the highest night sits at Gunji or Nabi, and an acclimatisation day is in the plan.
  • A seat on an Adi Kailash departure is held with ₹5,000, receipt and batch confirmation arriving the same day, and the balance settled in writing before departure.

How much does the Adi Kailash yatra cost?

Adi Kailash and Om Parvat cost ₹26,300 a person from Haldwani, ₹30,300 from Delhi and ₹18,600 from Pithoragarh, in Standard hotels with a shared vehicle.

Most people arrive at this question holding three or four quotes that refuse to line up. Different start cities, different day counts, some with the permit work inside the number and some with it waiting outside. So here is ours, set out plainly: one price a person, one list of inclusions, written down before any money moves.

PackageStarts fromDaysPrice a person
Adi Kailash from DelhiDelhi6 days, 5 nights₹30,300
Adi Kailash & Om ParvatHaldwani5 days, 4 nights₹26,300
Adi Kailash, short routePithoragarh4 days, 3 nights₹18,600
Prices, days and routes from our own 2026 catalogue: per person, Standard hotels with a shared vehicle.

All three reach the same places. Jolingkong for Adi Kailash and Parvati Sarovar, Nabhidhang for Om Parvat, Lipulekh for the sight of Mount Kailash itself on a day the authorities allow it. What changes between them is where you get into the vehicle and how many nights the road holds you. Adi Kailash from Delhi is the long one: 6 days, 5 nights. You leave Delhi at 6 am on day one.

Numbers help too. Add a traveller and the price a person slips a little; bring 6 and up to 25% comes off. Homestay rooms cost less than the Standard tier, Premium rooms and a private vehicle cost more, and every package page prints the full figure for your party and your date before you pay anything.

What is included, and what is not

One figure carries the vehicle, the rooms, breakfast and dinner, a government-certified guide, the permit work, the driver's allowance, tolls and parking.

A yatra price is only honest if you know where it stops. Ours stops at lunch.

What the price covers

Every kilometre of transport, your hotel and homestay nights, breakfast and dinner, a government-certified guide, permit help, driver allowance, tolls and parking.

  • Pickup and drop at the city your package names, and the vehicle for every kilometre in between
  • Hotel rooms at Pithoragarh, guest houses or homestays at Gunji or Nabhi, 2 to 5 to a room, private rooms on request
  • Breakfast and dinner every day
  • A government-certified guide, and oxygen carried in the vehicles
  • Inner Line Permit work, done before you arrive rather than on the morning you hope to drive (how the permit works)
  • Driver allowance, tolls and parking

What is not included

Lunch on the road and personal expenses are yours to cover, and nothing else turns up on a bill afterwards.

Lunch is taken at dhabas along the way and is yours to pay for. Personal expenses mean what they say: shopping in the Pithoragarh markets, offerings at the temples, a porter or pony if you choose one, anything you buy for yourself.

Hidden charges and GST

There are none. The figure put in writing before payment is the figure paid, driver allowance, tolls and parking already counted in.

Refund lines are written down before any money moves as well, so there is nothing to discover afterwards. Each booking gets its own booking ID and a proper invoice in the company's name. How we work sets out the rest of that paperwork.

Price by start city: Delhi, Haldwani or Pithoragarh

Delhi costs ₹30,300 a person for 6 days, Haldwani ₹26,300 for 5 days, Pithoragarh ₹18,600 for 4 days.

The difference between the three is road, not mountain. Every extra stretch of highway before Pithoragarh is another day of vehicle, another night of hotel, another set of meals, and that is what you see in the price.

From Delhi: ₹30,300 a person

6 days and 5 nights, leaving Delhi at 6 am on day one and covering about 480 km to Pithoragarh.

This is the version for travellers who want to hand over the whole thing, plains drive included. Permit work fills that morning, and Gunji comes on day 2. Jolingkong on day 3, Om Parvat and Lipulekh on day 4. Coming down, you stop at Pithoragarh's temples, Jageshwar and Kainchi Dham.

From Haldwani: ₹26,300 a person

The other airport travellers use is Pantnagar, out on the plains near Haldwani.5 days from Haldwani, with about 185 km of road up to Pithoragarh. Kathgodam is the railhead beside town. By road Tanakpur is the nearer one: about 147 km to Pithoragarh, about 238 km to Dharchula. Naini Saini at Pithoragarh is the nearest airport, though its scheduled flights have come and gone: Alliance Air from Delhi from 7 November 2024, a 42-seat Dehradun service three days a week from 26 March 2026. Railheads and flights.

Most travellers who take a night train or a flight begin here. You are met at the railhead, and the hills start within the hour. Above Pithoragarh nothing changes: Gunji on day 2, then Adi Kailash and Om Parvat on days 3 and 4. Sera Deval (Shera Deval on some signs) and Kainchi Dham come on the way down.

From Pithoragarh: ₹18,600 a person

4 days for travellers who reach Pithoragarh at 1,645 m themselves, with about 168 km to Gunji from there.

The short route costs least because you have already done the part that gives least in scenery and most in hours. Permits in the morning, then straight up the valley. If you are coming in your own vehicle, or from elsewhere in Kumaon, this is usually the sensible one. If you want the legs one by one, they're in how to reach Adi Kailash.

What changes the price

Your room tier, whether the vehicle is shared or private, and how many people travel with you: the per-person price falls as the party grows.

Where you sleep

Homestay rooms cost less than the Standard hotel tier and Premium rooms cost more, on the same route and the same days.

Above Dharchula the choice narrows on its own. Up at Gunji and Nabhi you sleep in guest houses and homestays. That's all the valley has. The tier mostly changes your rooms at Pithoragarh, at the start and the end of the trip.

Shared vehicle or private

The published price is for a seat in a shared vehicle; a vehicle for your family alone costs more and is quoted for your party size and dates.

A private vehicle is worth asking about if you are travelling with elderly parents who want their own pace on the Gunji road, or if you are five or six people who would fill a vehicle anyway.

Ask us on WhatsApp what a private vehicle adds for your party size and dates.

How many of you travel

Every traveller you add trims the price a person, and a party of 6 takes up to 25% off any package.

A family, a society group or a company can also take a departure of its own on its own dates. Give the headcount, the month and the start city, and back comes a single price a person in writing, with the day plan beside it.

The month you choose

Departures run May to November, and there is one published price a person for the season rather than a different rate each month.

What the month changes is the road. Even inside that window the weather runs the high road. The authorities can shut it with little warning. You aren't billed for a day we can't run. Lose a leg and we find another route in the same valley, and you hear it from us straight away.

How does KMVN's package compare?

KMVN, the state tourism corporation, runs its own Adi Kailash package, and Adi Kailash Explore does not print its fare here because no dated 2026 figure can be sourced.

We would rather leave a number out than carry last season's across into this one. If you are comparing with KMVN, or with any private operator, read the fare off their own page with the date on it, and then compare like with like.

Four things decide whether two prices are really the same price.

  1. Start city and day count: a 4-day trip from Pithoragarh is not comparable with a 6-day trip from Delhi
  2. Whether the Inner Line Permit work is done for you before you arrive, or left to you at SDM Dharchula
  3. Whether breakfast and dinner, driver allowance, tolls and parking sit inside the number or are added later
  4. Whether the figure is per seat in a shared vehicle, or for a vehicle you are filling yourself

Ours is per person, Standard hotels, shared vehicle, with the permit filed ahead and the certified guide included. The full FAQ lists the inclusions and the refund terms in the same words we use on a confirmation.

Is there a helicopter to Adi Kailash, and what does it cost?

Adi Kailash Explore runs the Adi Kailash yatra by road only and cannot confirm a helicopter service for 2026, so treat any helicopter fare you are quoted as unverified.

The road already does much of what people hope a helicopter will do. You drive this, you don't trek it. The vehicle takes you to about 4,500 m at Jolingkong, and to over 5,000 m at Lipulekh. The walking at the darshan points is short. Your highest bed is at Gunji, 3,200 m. The plan keeps an acclimatisation day, and oxygen rides in the vehicles.

So travellers who are in no position to take on a Himalayan trek can still make this journey. What it still asks of you is altitude. Tell us before you book if there's a heart or lung condition, uncontrolled blood pressure or diabetes, a pregnancy or recent surgery. You'll get an honest answer on whether there are concerns.

Ask us before booking if the altitude or the day count worries you for an elderly traveller.

What you spend on the road, over and above the package

Lunch, offerings and warm clothes only: travellers carry cash for dhaba meals, temple offerings and personal buys, because every kilometre of transport already sits inside the package.

Lunch is taken at dhabas along the route and is yours to pay for, as is anything you offer at Parvati Sarovar, the Kali temple at Kalapani, Sera Deval or Kainchi Dham, none of it compulsory. Warm layers are better bought at home than in a hill market: Gunji's average October low is 0°C, with 14 frost nights, and at Jolingkong the June low averages -1°C.

If you are weighing a hired vehicle instead of a package, the sums start at Dharchula: about 80 km to Gunji and another about 36 km on to Jolingkong, all of it inside the Inner Line Permit zone, with fares that move with fuel, season and driver. Whether a Dharchula fare is per vehicle or per seat, and what it leaves out.

What you pay now, and what happens if plans change

Adi Kailash Explore holds your seat for ₹5,000, sends the receipt and batch confirmation that day, and settles the balance in writing before departure.

Seats on each departure are limited and the permit goes in before you arrive, so the seat is usually held first and the details settled after that.

  1. Send your dates, your start city and your headcount over WhatsApp
  2. You get back the route, one clear price a person in writing, and the day-by-day plan
  3. ₹5,000 a seat holds it, by UPI, card or netbanking through Razorpay, into the company's account and never a personal number
  4. The receipt and your batch confirmation come the same day, and the balance is settled in writing before you leave

Where a whole departure cannot run, the choice is yours: the money back in full, or another date. The money goes back to the account it came from, inside 7 to 10 working days. Moving your dates is usually possible and worth asking about before you cancel: what limits it is the permits and stays already committed for you.

No EMI plan is published today. Cancellation bands are set out in writing before you pay anything, and the Pithoragarh office stays on the same thread from enquiry to return.

Questions travellers ask

  • There is no trek to price. You drive the circuit and walk only a little at Jolingkong and Parvati Sarovar, so what you pay for is a road journey: ₹18,600 a person from Pithoragarh, ₹26,300 from Haldwani and ₹30,300 from Delhi. Two of our other trips do put you on your feet for a day: Khaliya Top above Munsiyari, and the walk towards Panchachuli Base Camp in Darma.

  • Because everything on the route has to come up the same road you travel on. Up to 6 days of vehicles and drivers on a high border road. Rooms in a valley where guest houses are few, breakfast and dinner, a government-certified guide, oxygen in the vehicles. And the Inner Line Permit, filed before you arrive. The whole route lies inside India, so no Chinese visa or permit cost hides in the figure.

  • Taxi fares are not published by Adi Kailash Explore, and a taxi on its own will not get you up there: the stretch above Dharchula lies inside the Inner Line Permit zone, with ID checked where the road narrows. It is about 80 km from Dharchula to Gunji, then about 36 km to Jolingkong. In our packages that transport is included from your start city, both ways.

  • Adi Kailash Explore does not publish separate room rates for Gunji, because nights there sit inside the package price rather than being booked by the night. Past Dharchula you sleep in guest houses and homestays at Gunji or Nabhi, 2 to 5 sharing a room. Ask for a private room and you can have one. Breakfast and dinner are included there as everywhere else on the route.

  • No child rate is published separately at present. Families travelling with children are usually pointed to Munsiyari instead: lower, gentler, with a real morning trek, ₹14,400 a person for 4 days from Haldwani. For the high route, send the child's age and you will get a straight opinion back, because altitude is the real question.

  • Yes, and no. Scheduled departures travel as shared groups, so one traveller joins a batch instead of paying for a whole vehicle, at the published price a person: ₹26,300 from Haldwani, say. Rooms hold 2 to 5 travellers, and a private one can be arranged on request. One Pithoragarh desk holds the thread from the first enquiry to the return home.

  • Days Adi Kailash Explore cannot run are not charged. The weather runs the Gunji road, and the authorities can close it at short notice. If a leg is cut, we reroute inside the same valley and tell you as soon as word reaches us. Where the whole departure cannot run, the choice is a full refund or another date, with the money back in the paying account inside 7 to 10 working days.

How we made this guide

The figures on this page are filled in from data each time it is built, never typed by hand: prices, days and nights from our package pages; road distances from OpenStreetMap, measured by a router (retrieved 22 September 2026); heights from Wikidata and the heights this site publishes; temperatures from 30-year ERA5-Land climate normals, modelled rather than measured at a weather station. If anything here is out of date, tell us on WhatsApp and we will correct it.
