- Climbers use a different base camp in the Lwan valley, reached from Martoli. A 2015 expedition camped near the Bhital Gwar shepherd huts there at 4,275 m. OpenStreetMap marks a 'Nanda Devi base camp' in the Lwan valley at 30.3421, 80.0326. Do not mix it up with the trekkers' camp above Ganghar. (himalayanclub.org)

How we made this page
The heights, stages, seasons, permits and news are from their sources, each linked beside it (checked 25 Oct 2026); where sources disagree we say so. Road km are OpenStreetMap's, the shorter of two public routers. We leave out what no source states. If anything here is out of date, tell us on WhatsApp.
